Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manage partner and supplier relationships at all levels, contributing to top-to-top management of operational performance and strategic direction.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost performance of designated supply chains, leading long-term cost improvement and leveraging cost reductions across commodity categories.
  • Strategy Development: Develop, deploy, and communicate commodity strategies, providing a clear vision and framework for designated supply chains.
  • Process and Procedure Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures, maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Resource Management: Lead the commodity team, ensuring team resourcing, training, and capability meet success requirements.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate effective planning and execution of sourcing and commercial activities to maximize value within the scope of the commodity team.
  • Strong commercial skills and ability to support negotiations on terms and conditions.
  • Understanding of supply chains and development of supply chain strategies.
  • Motivate and lead a high-performing team.
  • Awareness of Single Source Contract Regulations.
  • Nurture effective relationships with multiple stakeholders to integrate functional priorities.
  • Select a supply chain capable of meeting quality and delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for driving delivery performance and resolving performance-related issues.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats.
  • Be a UK national or, in MoD-approved cases, a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
