Global Category Manager
Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a skilled Global Category Manager to lead a team of buyers in developing and implementing global strategies. The successful candidate will foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance and improve Cost Quality and Delivery across Procurement.
The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to establishing sustainable, long-term supply chains, providing a competitive edge for Rolls-Royce, our customers, and suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying integrated commodity/category supplier strategies with a clear vision and strategic framework.
- Managing commercial risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and resilience.
- Leading complex negotiations through planning, cost analysis, and contract drafting.
- Managing a team of buyers to excel in their strategic tasks and achieve superior outcomes for the business.
- Providing strong commercial and financial skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiations at a senior level.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Total Cost of Acquisition/Product Cost Lifecycles and associated levers/analytics, contract drafting and implementation, and category strategy development.
As a Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and in-contract supplier management, ensuring adequate levels of contractual coverage, mitigation of commercial risk, and optimizing commercial advantage.
