Job Title: LGV Driver Class C&E

We are seeking an experienced LGV Driver Class C&E to join our team at Allied Bakeries in West Bromwich. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our bakery products within our Inter Bakery operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in our Safety-First culture and comply with all legal requirements for HGV Drivers
  • Drive Company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any Company standards
  • Apply SAFED driving techniques to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency
  • Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company standards
  • Maintain and comply with tachograph records, company key control procedures, and working time regulations
  • Report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels
  • Follow Company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, Company products and equipment
  • Comply with all Company requirements for Driver training and communications
  • Carry out any duties, as required by the Company, e.g. unloading, refuelling, and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Requirements:
  • Experienced Professional Driver Category 1 (Category C&E) - Essential
  • Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
  • Conscientious and flexible - Essential
  • Good interpersonal skills ability to effectively communicate with and influence others
