Job Opportunity

Job Title: Category Manager (6-month FTC)

Sea Global is partnering with a market-leading business to find an experienced procurement professional for a 6-month FTC. This is an exciting time to join the company as they seek someone to manage a range of direct commodities.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the successful candidate will lead and develop categories, oversee spend, and champion procurement improvements and cost-savings initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have end-to-end category management experience across direct categories from a manufacturing or similar environment and be able to hit the ground running from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple commodities.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, negotiating deals that align with business activities.
  • Support and manage projects from start to finish, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team and business.
  • Develop and lead procurement processes across sourcing and operational procurement.

Requirements

  • Highly experienced in Direct Procurement in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable working in an international market, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and undertake projects on their own initiative.
  • Ideal candidate will have a degree and/or MCIPS qualification, although this is not essential.
