About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical First Assistant to join our friendly and expert multidisciplinary theatre team at Practice Plus Group. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care and treatment in our theatre.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assisting surgeons during operations, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and working closely with our experienced Theatre Manager, Trevor. Your focus will be on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality treatment quickly and in comfortable surroundings.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Surgical First Assistant Qualification
  • Proven experience of working in a theatre as a scrub practitioner
  • Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team
  • Up-to-date with current research and developments in theatre practice
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department
