About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Locum Consultant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Obstetrics and Gynaecology services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Locum Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing emergency cover and on-call services at both Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contributing to the development of our Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, including service improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Participating in teaching and training activities to support the development of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Full GMC registration and MRCOG or equivalent specialist qualification
  • CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent
  • Labour ward ATSM and experience in clinical audit/quality improvement
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to continuing medical education and a willingness to participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
