About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Booker Limited. As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our branch, working closely with the Branch Leadership Team and colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Opening, closing, and operational running of the branch, making informed decisions to ensure the health and safety of customers and colleagues.
  • Supporting a Health, Safe and Legal culture, ensuring all colleagues are informed of any updates.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment for colleagues to work in.
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures, including mandatory training.
  • Leading by example, role modeling the Code of Business Conduct and Win Together Behaviours.
  • PRIDE being lived in the branch, focusing on delivering great availability and service.
  • Supporting colleagues during induction and training.
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships internally and externally.
  • Championing Diversity and Inclusion, ensuring Everyone Is Welcome at Booker.
Requirements
  • An excellent communicator with experience of supervising or managing a team.
  • A proven track record of coaching, motivating, and guiding a team, holding people accountable to deliver great service.
  • Flexible and adaptable with great problem-solving skills.
  • Practical experience in the retail/wholesale trade.
