About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Caretaker to join our team in the Tower Hamlets area. As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and well-being of our estates and blocks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out cleaning tasks according to schedules and guidelines provided, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Utilize equipment and technology to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to increase customer satisfaction levels and improve the overall service provision.
  • Engage with residents, Safer Tower Hamlets Teams, and other services in emergency situations, providing a positive and supportive response.
  • Perform routine inspections, identify safety concerns, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas within the housing estate, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
  • Report any health and safety risks and take immediate action to make them safe, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer care.
  • Knowledge of customer care principles and effective caretaking services, with a commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Basic familiarity with health and safety regulations, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Standard DBS is required, and a UK Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
