Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the development of Neurodevelopmental services within our Children & Young People's Mental Health Function. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing our CYP Learning Disability, Autism, and Key Worker services, as well as leading on the design and development of an integrated Neurodevelopmental Pathway.

Main Responsibilities
  • Line management of team leads and ensuring the service is a great place to work, embedding a devolved culture and responding to feedback.
  • Role modelling our behavioural framework to colleagues within their services and working collectively as part of a leadership team to ensure integration of services across functions, geographies, and pathways.
  • Undertaking supportive and effective line management of staff, managing poor performance, and ensuring access to appropriate line management and clinical supervision.
  • Ensuring training needs are identified and colleagues receive appropriate training in line with statutory and mandatory obligations, key strategic areas of need, and service delivery priorities.
  • Effective workforce planning, including succession planning and training and development planning to ensure the workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge to meet changing service needs and Care Group business plans.
