Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Children & Young People's Autism Service. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering and developing psychologically informed provision for individuals with autism.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical/Counselling Psychologist will provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions in the Children & Young People's Autism Service. This role will deliver a service across the South Staffordshire area, involving complex assessments, psychological formulations, care plan development, and intervention delivery.
The successful candidate will work as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), presenting complex assessment information and working with colleagues to agree on diagnostic criteria for autism. They will also provide a range of highly specialised post-diagnostic intervention services, including direct work with children and young people, group-based interventions, consultation, and training for carers and professionals.

Person SpecificationWe welcome applications from experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who have a strong background in autism and neurodevelopmental services. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children and young people with autism, as well as experience of group work and specialist assessments.
Essential qualifications include a post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, registration with the Health & Care Professions Council, and current registration/accreditation with the relevant professional body.
