Job Summary

The Security Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of GKN Aerospace's operations, assets, and personnel. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust security governance framework, providing security risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security governance framework, including security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide security risk management services, including threat and vulnerability assessments, and security awareness training.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and site security managers to ensure security requirements are met and compliance is maintained.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in security-related fields, including physical security, technical security systems, personnel security, and travel security.
  • Support the development and implementation of crisis management plans and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for security improvements.

Requirements

  • US National with the ability to obtain relevant security clearance.
  • Proactive team-player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in security risk management, including incident response and threat, vulnerability, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of physical and technical security controls, including perimeter protection, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Strong understanding of physical information security, including data protection practices.
  • Experience in managing international travel and implementing proportionate risk management plans.
  • IT proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in security risk management.
  • Experience managing security in a corporate environment.
  • Academic qualification in security management or a related field.
  • Background in military, police, or law enforcement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Investigations experience.
