Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Team Manager to lead our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and effective management of the team to achieve all objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies with departments and business streams to meet objectives within prescribed timescales.
  • Coordinate and prioritize activity across shifts and business streams to ensure customer service requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and planning to ensure targets are achieved within financial costings.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Fire and Security requirements to provide a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record at a supervisory or management level within a complex, fast-paced transport operation.
  • Excellent knowledge of driving compliance and associated regulations, a Manager's CPC would be ideal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills with previous managerial experience.
  • A strong personality with the ability to effectively manage drivers, push for operational excellence and challenge the status quo.
