Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled National Reefer Sea Logistics Manager to join our UK Sea Logistics Leadership Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and owning the UK Reefer Sea Logistics strategy in diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of Reefer and Healthcare Sea Logistics, encompassing market knowledge and expertise.
- Develop and promote UK Reefer with key overseas partners through structured interaction, including regular domestic and limited overseas travel.
- Target overall development of reefer products in terms of volume and profit, in line with national targets.
- Manage the Reefer CCL within the Reefer structure, owning the P&L volume and profitability of the products.
- Oversee the gathering and distribution of relevant market intelligence to key stakeholders within Sea Logistics.
- Maintain and develop overseas partner relationships with shared pipeline development.
- Ensure operational excellence across the products through alignment between customer requirements and supplier sourcing.
- Onboard and maintain suppliers to support key client requirements, including robust carrier selection and management.
- Regularly review market sector strategy, new business opportunities, and value creation.
- Work closely with Global Sea Logistics Reefer Management to ensure agreed targets are achieved.
- Ensure key client requirements are effective and profitable, aligned to operational department and service KPIs.
- Coordinate and maintain sales and buying conditions for key clients, analyzing and improving key client profitability.
- Proactively respond to key client service requirements and issues, with international travel to support business development and build relationships with overseas partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience within Sea Logistics, combined with strong business and commercial acumen.
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and leadership skills.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and build strong relationships.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, fulfill critical tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Resilience to manage change, embrace new technologies, and quickly understand and execute new processes.
- Ability to network and develop relationships, with sound financial understanding and commercial awareness.
- Able to travel and hold a valid car driver's license.
