We are seeking an exceptional Director of Performing Arts to join our team at Wetherby Pembridge, a new premium senior school in Olympia, London. As a key member of our founding leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape the Performing Arts provision from the ground up and create a world-class program that inspires and engages our students.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Music or Drama, with significant experience in delivering outstanding Performing Arts provision in a high-performing school environment. You will be responsible for leading a team of Music, Drama, and Dance teaching staff, as well as technical staff, and will have the autonomy to develop an innovative and ambitious co-curricular program.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader who can foster a culture of excellence in the Performing Arts, with a focus on inclusivity and high-quality delivery. If you are passionate about the Performing Arts and have a vision for creating a world-class program, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Performing Arts provision, including curricular and co-curricular activities
- Line manage Music, Drama, and Dance teaching staff, as well as technical staff
- Develop and lead a co-curricular Performing Arts program that is inclusive and delivered to a high standard
- Establish and nurture a range of choirs, orchestras, and ensembles
- Ensure a full and vibrant drama program is in place
- Engage with stakeholders in the wider community to develop and maintain a robust Performing Arts partnership program
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent with strong academic credentials
- Significant experience of delivering outstanding Performing Arts provision in a high-performing school environment
- Ideal experience as a Head of Music or Head of Drama
- Ability to teach Music or Theatre Studies to A Level
- Resilience, drive, and strength of character to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
