Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Secondary School Media Teacher to join our team at Remedy Recruitment Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging media studies lessons, teaching media production skills, and assessing student progress in a dynamic secondary school setting in East London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media studies, with experience in developing and delivering media education programs. They will be able to teach students to use media production equipment and software, and monitor student progress through regular assessments and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive media studies curriculum that meets the needs of students.
  • Teach students to use industry-standard media production equipment and software.
  • Aess and monitor student progress through regular assessments and evaluations.
  • Organise and oversee media projects, including film, photography, and digital media.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in media.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Media Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of media production techniques and media theory.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
