About the Role

The SEO and Content Executive is a key member of the acquisition team at Busy Bees Nurseries, responsible for delivering competitive search performance and website optimization across the entire acquisition journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Acquisition to develop and execute SEO strategies, including keyword research, content creation, and review management, to ensure Busy Bees is competing effectively in search and meets key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) programs, analyzing performance and making data-driven recommendations to support return on investment (ROI) and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the paid media manager, web developers, and agencies to optimize website performance, content, compliance, and KPIs, including traffic, user experience (UX), and conversion rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with consumer, industry, and technical trends and developments, proposing and managing recommended actions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with the Brand & PR team to ensure all acquisition activity aligns with the Busy Bees brand.
  • Support the Paid Media Manager in optimizing the relationship between SEO and paid media, particularly pay-per-click (PPC) and social media.
  • Identify, manage, and optimize opportunities through directory listing platforms that benefit search and conversion performance.
  • Track identified keywords and report on organic performance, proactively reporting on SEO performance against KPIs, including successes, improvements, trends, opportunities, and emerging risks, and making actionable recommendations.
  • Lead the strategy and activity for review platforms, working with other departments, to ensure review scores and KPIs are met.
  • Take a forensic approach to SEO and CRO at a centre-by-centre level, ensuring every centre is optimized for lead generation.
  • Manage and monitor agency and third-party partners effectively to maximize ROI and secure advantageous organic search performance, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs are delivered.
  • Champion SEO as the in-house expert, ensuring activity is understood and reported on.
  • Make website content changes as required.
  • Perform other ad hoc projects and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Acquisition.

Requirements

  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of content, search, and analytical tools and systems.
  • Demonstratable prior experience in delivering high-performing SEO and CRO activity.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A forensic approach to data and analytics.
  • Results-oriented.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with wider marketing teams and agencies to contribute to departmental objectives.
  • The motivation, tenacity, and interest to champion SEO internally and support the wider acquisition team.
  • Be a proactive problem-solver.
