About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant - Neurological Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to individuals with neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure optimal cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional recovery for our clients.
  • Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of clients, identifying changes and alerting senior colleagues as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining morale and engagement among clients through effective communication and interaction.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of client progress and care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, promoting choice and autonomy.
  • Support the safe and smooth running of the service, maintaining a safe working environment and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • S/NVQ /QCF Level 2 or other relevant subject/training (desirable)
  • S/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, with a commitment to taking part in QCF studies and achieving Level 3
  • Proven experience of working within a team and delivering care
  • Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
  • IT skills, including accessing and using the internet, email, and word processing
