HCUC, a leading Further Education College Group in West London, seeks an experienced Financial Governance Specialist to drive risk management and control processes across its five campuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a systematic approach to audit cycles, encompassing risk management, control evaluation, and operational effectiveness.

  2. Determine the scope of internal audits and create annual plans to ensure comprehensive coverage.

  3. Analyse and evaluate accounting documents and information to inform audit findings and recommendations.

  4. Present audit results in clear, actionable reports that address key areas for improvement.

  5. Identify potential vulnerabilities and suggest risk mitigation strategies to enhance overall financial governance.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in internal auditing, with a strong understanding of audit principles and methodologies.

  2. Stay up-to-date with internal audit standards and best practices, including public sector guidelines.

  3. Creativity and resourcefulness in addressing complex financial, governance, and risk-related challenges.

  4. Able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, fostering influence and collaboration.
