Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team on a night shift basis. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport goods and materials within our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and Loading: Accurately pick and load multi-part orders onto the forklift, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Stock Unloading and Replenishment: Safely unload and replenish stock, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Manual Handling: Manually handle timber products and sheet materials, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Forklift Operation: Operate a counterbalance forklift, ensuring valid and up-to-date certification.
- Heavy Lifting: Perform heavy lifting tasks, requiring a high level of physical fitness and stamina.
Person Specification
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate: Possess a valid and up-to-date counterbalance forklift certificate.
- Forklift Experience: Have prior experience operating a forklift, with a focus on loading and unloading.
- Warehousing Experience: Possess experience working in a warehouse environment, with a focus on stock management and organization.
- Physical Fitness: Be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Possess a keen eye for detail and accuracy when checking product information against pick notes.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions
This is a temporary-permanent position, dependent on performance and attendance levels. PPE, safety boots, and hi-vis must be worn at all times on site.
