Clinical Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Governance Specialist to lead, support and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care for our residents. This role will oversee nursing homes in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, ensuring that every home meets the highest clinical standards.
This position requires an experienced RGN with strong and up-to-date clinical practice, extensive experience of residents/patient care and confidence in managing chronic diseases (diabetes or asthma) & wound dressings.
The successful candidate will review and support the performance of every home in their region, analysing results from the clinical governance database and KPIs. They will then identify practical strategies to meet each regulation and improve the care we deliver.
Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff, they will plan and implement key actions to address any issues and maintain high standards month in, month out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and supporting the performance of every home in their region
- Analysing results from the clinical governance database and KPIs
- Identifying practical strategies to meet each regulation and improve care delivery
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current NMC registration, RN (General) and evidence of continued professional development. You should have experience working in a care home environment and as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly-qualified nurses. A strong understanding of current regulatory requirements is also essential.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
