We are currently in search of a Culinary Specialist who is dedicated to making a significant and positive impact on the lives of older adults.
Mealtimes are a vital part of our residents' daily routine. At Akari Care, we take immense pride in ensuring that the meals prepared in our kitchen are of exceptional quality, nutritious, and wholesome. We are also committed to being mindful of individual dietary needs, cultural backgrounds, and personal preferences, ensuring that every resident enjoys a tailored dining experience.
As a crucial link between the kitchen and dining areas, you will have the freedom to design menus, plate dishes attractively, and arrange food service in a way that excites and encourages our residents to enjoy their meals.
As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide a team in developing creative ideas that align with their personal growth objectives.

Requirements:
- City & Guilds 706 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or in progress)
- Basic Food Hygiene Certification
- Experience as a Head Chef or Cook in a similar setting
- Supervisory or Line Management experience
- A caring approach to providing personalized service
- Proven ability to lead by example, inspire a team, and delegate effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
- Warm, approachable, and engaging personality
- Respect for all individuals, treating others as you wish to be treated
- Resilience and adaptability to the varying needs of colleagues and residents
