About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing financial expertise to support the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and advice to project managers to enable effective financial control and decision-making.
  • Produce and analyze financial reports, including project status packs and cost certificates, to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Raise customer invoices and manage customer relationships to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data and ensure accurate and complete financial records.

Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and financial software.
  • Sound technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of working with non-finance managers and challenging complex financial data.
  • Contract accounting and/or IFS and/or Business Analytics experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
