Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior mental health nurse to join our team at Broadmoor Hospital, a leading high secure services provider in the UK. As a Mental Health Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within our hospital environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with a minimum of two years' experience working in a secure NHS forensic setting or equivalent. You will be responsible for developing collaborative links between the Security Directorate, multi-disciplinary teams, and other hospital and external services to help ensure a safe and secure environment.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide advice, guidance, and training on aspects of physical, procedural, and relational security to clinical teams and staff throughout the hospital.
  • Work with teams to ensure that security standards are achieved and that clinical and security practices are effectively integrated.
  • Complete investigations, audits, and provide reports with recommendations to reduce/eliminate security risks and ensure that any resulting actions are implemented.
