Job Title: Tax Assistant Manager

As a Tax Assistant Manager at National Oilwell Varco, you will play a key role in overseeing UK tax functions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include timely completion of UK corporation tax returns, managing compliance, and assisting with overseas tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • UK Corporate Tax Compliance: Prepare corporation tax and deferred tax figures and disclosures for incorporation in the UK statutory accounts, as well as prepare UK corporation tax returns and computations for the group.
  • UK VAT: Assist with the UK VAT group maintenance, monthly VAT return process, and act as a point of contact for VAT queries.
  • US GAAP Reporting: Prepare and assist the wider Finance team with quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and develop more junior members of staff.
Requirements:
  • Qualified CA/CTA (essential)
  • Excellent technical knowledge within UK corporate tax (essential)
  • Previous experience in working in a company with multi-jurisdictional concerns, or within an accountancy firm dealing with cross-border issues (essential)
  • UK VAT knowledge (desirable)
  • Tax software knowledge - Onesource (desirable)
