About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes that meet our clients' expectations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives.
  • Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Support the Head Chef in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records of food costs and inventory.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to enhance our menu offerings and dining experience.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
