Audit Senior Opportunity

Protalent is currently working with a Top 20 Accountancy Practice to recruit an experienced Audit Senior to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and complete audits, reporting to managers and partners
  • Prepare accounts, reports, and other assignments as required
  • Coordinate planning at clients, including liaison with relevant departments within the firm
  • Communicate and build relationships with clients and related third parties
  • Lead on-site audit teams and complete jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget
  • Develop and promote the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects
  • Develop and supervise trainees
  • Audit clients range dramatically, but the sweet spot is around the £30-£40million size
  • Client industries range, but the bulk are manufacturing businesses
Requirements:
  • Studying towards ACA / ACCA qualification with the professional/applied skills stage completed
  • Minimum 18 months experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice
  • Experience of leading external audit assignments from fieldwork to completion stages under International Standards on Auditing
  • Experience of preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
