Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join our team at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment. As a Conveyancing Legal Secretary, you will provide high-level support to partners and fee earners in the Conveyancing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to partners and fee earners, including diary management, travel arrangements, and audio typing.
- Assist partners with daily secretarial duties, such as document preparation and filing.
- Undertake all aspects of the role using the most appropriate tools and resources for the task to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate flexibility and proactively contribute to the team's success by actively seeking to improve working processes.
- Ensure all work is undertaken in the correct priority order and follows team processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Extensive relevant experience as a Legal Secretary.
- Strong working knowledge of iManage and Bighand or similar tools.
- IT literate with high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Lync - Skype for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
- Detailed and strong working knowledge of and high-level proficiency in Elite billing.
- Exemplary document management and filing skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to apply knowledge and judgement to solve problems and make decisions.
- Experience of delegating to, and training, junior team members.
