Electrical Engineering Career Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to join our team as a Power Networks Craftsperson. As a Jointer, you will work with experienced engineers to carry out a range of tasks, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement and fault location on LV cables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Constructing distribution substations, excavating, laying and joining cables, and terminating cables to plant.
  • Carrying out routine inspection, locating faults and carrying out repairs on underground cables and equipment.
  • Recording asset details and positions.
  • Loving and identifying cables, testing insulation, phasing and continuity.
  • Carrying out switching operations on the LV network.
  • Organising your own projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience working with low-voltage cables. A competitive salary of £17,649 is offered, with opportunities for career progression and professional development.
