Pixel Power, a leading subsidiary of Rohde & Schwarz, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Solution Manager.

We specialize in software-defined virtualized playout solutions with integrated graphics and branding for broadcasters and media companies delivering content to multiple platforms.

This position reports directly to the VP Sales & Marketing and involves a blend of solution architect, pre-sales engineering, project engineering, and product management responsibilities.

The Role

Work with the Account Manager/Regional Sales Manager to:

  • Assist in qualifying opportunities
  • Perform product demonstrations and lead technical discussions
  • Gather sufficient information to architect a solution or study the RFI/RFP
  • Evaluate the functionality available and what might need development
  • Establish required integrations with third-party products and solutions and the detailed requirements surrounding these
  • Be responsible for the technical aspects of RFI/RFP/general response, including drawings, specifications, and workflow descriptions
  • Ensure proposed timescales are realistic, taking into account development and integration required and other project loading
  • Attend formal negotiations and Q&A sessions as technical lead
  • Guide the Account Manager in preparing a commercial offer
Post-Sale Responsibilities

Work with the Services team, R&D, and the customer to:

  • Further refine requirements and specification to produce an accepted Statement of Work/Specification for the provided solution
  • Initiate the project kick-off, handing over responsibility for execution to the services team
  • Assist with scoping and technical clarification of any change requests
  • Be available to the services team as needed for clarification of the SOW/Specification

Requirements

  • Deep technical knowledge of Pixel Power products and solutions (master control playout, graphics, multiviewing, and monitoring)
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end workflows, integrations, and equipment used in broadcast playout and production environments
  • Customer-facing, able to build trust and confidence quickly
  • Comfortable in a formal meeting environment, outnumbered 12:1 with technical questioning
  • Willing to spend up to 50% of time traveling worldwide
