Job Summary

The Senior Solutions Architect Leader will be responsible for designing and modeling data and delivery architecture, standards, and processes to improve the management of information and data throughout their lifecycles. This role will also involve managing the design and implementation of discovery systems by collaborating with AWS, AWS partners, ecosystem vendors, and Data Scientists.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working in a data-driven research environment and 15+ years of IT domain experience. They should also have experience designing, migrating, and implementing computation, hosting, and storage solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and model data and delivery architecture, standards, and processes to improve the management of information and data throughout their lifecycles.
  • Manage the design and implementation of discovery systems by collaborating with AWS, AWS partners, ecosystem vendors, and Data Scientists.
  • Lead and manage a technical architecture and engineering team, comprised of Company, Vendor, and Partner resources for the purpose of design and development of discovery IT systems.
  • Contribute by interviewing and selecting technical resources for projects related to Big Data systems.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working in a data-driven research environment.
  • 15+ years of IT domain experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, migrating, and implementing computation, hosting, and storage solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • 2+ years of experience using Data management tools such as Databricks, Immuta, Informatica.
Communication, Organization and Critical Thinking Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to network, strong personal integrity, collaborative mindset, and a strong customer focus are necessary.
