About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Short-term Fund Accounting Professional to join our team at Carnegie Consulting. This is a 6-12 month fixed term contract, providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in fund accounting and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, with experience in preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and other financial reports. You will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare complete and accurate financial statements under UK and US GAAP, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile all bank accounts on a weekly basis, identify any discrepancies, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts to ensure that we have sufficient funds to meet our operational needs.
  • Investor Reporting: Assist in the preparation of investor reports, including quarterly portfolio company fair valuation data and annual financial statements.

Requirements:

  • ACA or CIMA qualified with experience in fund accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
