Gameplay Animator

We are seeking a talented Gameplay Animator to join our team at Rockstar Leeds. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging gameplay mechanics that bring our games to life.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with animators and programmers to design, implement, and debug compelling gameplay mechanics.
- Work closely with the Animation, Code, and Design teams to achieve balance between animation fidelity and gameplay responsiveness.
- Support the planning of motion capture shoots and direct actors.
- Be self-motivated and willing to contribute to wider areas of the project.
- Bachelor's degree in Art/Animation or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate strong animation principles and implementation in a real-time engine through a professional demo reel.
- Proficiency in a major animation package (e.g. Maya, MotionBuilder, etc.).
- Positive, solution-oriented individual with a deep-rooted interest in video games and game development.
- Strong skills in animating the human figure to create realistic character animations.
- Some understanding of development issues in getting animations into a game.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work closely with Artists, Designers, and Programmers.
