Teaching Assistant Role in a SEN Secondary School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN secondary school in Sale. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) as they navigate their GCSEs.

About the Role:

  • Competitive daily rate of £83.85+ through PAYE, with no agency fees or umbrella company costs.
  • Weekly pay on timesheets through Teaching Personnel.
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, with an ASAP start following registration.
  • Opportunity to work with a small, higher-ability class, supporting pupils with similar needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supplementary support to pupils with ASC, helping them with their day-to-day needs and academic work.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other SEN Teaching Assistants to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage behavioural outbursts and support pupils in developing their social, academic, and emotional skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting individuals with SEN, particularly those with ASC.
  • Comfortable working with GCSE material and managing behavioural outbursts.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other support staff.
