At Freightliner, we are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to support our Specialist Haulage team in Southampton.

About the Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning the loading and unloading of cargo and freight shipments while maintaining customer relationships and ensuring service levels are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise accurate quotes for loading and unloading of cargo and road transport to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure all containers and cargo movements are correctly arranged and booked into and out of both internal and external systems.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Cargo Handlers team in respect of loading and unloading cargo.
  • Arrange with customers the pick up and collection of equipment/cargo as required to complete the job.
  • Be a point of contact for any cargo-related/specialist haulage enquiries.
  • Obtain and secure the best possible price for any purchases or services required.
  • Ensure customer service levels with all customers are achieved to the minimum agreed targets.
  • Finalize jobs on internal systems with revenue and costs to allow them to be processed for invoicing.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within shipping lines, port operations, haulage, and/or container handling operations.
  • Knowledge of Road Haulage.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player.
  • Previous TOPS experience – desirable.
