We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Health team in the North West region. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with the Mental Health teams on each site and be an integral part of the clinical leadership team supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical input and oversight for HMP Preston, HMP Lancaster Farms, and HMP Kirkham
  • Support the development and embedding of a trauma-informed mental health service model across sites
  • Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT)
  • Undertake psychological assessments and deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity
  • Deliver and oversee 1:1 and group interventions as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
  • Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation, and research profile as appropriate

Requirements:
  • Registered with a professional body or regulatory body as appropriate to psychological therapy discipline (HCPC/BPS)
  • Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group-based treatment of clients across the full range of care settings
  • Experience working with psychological trauma
  • Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical/forensic/counselling psychologist at a senior highly specialist level
