London, Greater London, United Kingdom Apple Inc. Full time

At Apple Inc., innovative ideas can transform into groundbreaking products and services rapidly.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GPU micro-architectural specialist to join our UK GPU Design Centre team at the RTL Design department. As part of this team, you will collaborate closely with designers to refine GPU micro-architectural specifications and work together with architecture, physical design, and verification teams to identify potential issues early on.

Your primary responsibility will be to implement cutting-edge micro-architectures targeting advanced technology nodes while balancing energy efficiency, performance, and area constraints with project deadlines, maintainability, and coding excellence.

You will also review synthesis and power reports, root-cause and resolve timing and power issues, and ensure maximal quality of results throughout your design.

As your design approaches functional completion, you will work with the verification team to ensure the design behaves as intended and is thoroughly tested. Subsequently, you will collaborate with the physical design team to make any necessary adjustments for an optimal layout of the design.

Once integrated into the system, you'll be simulating and debugging issues within and around your design.

Key Requirements
  • Profound understanding of modern design techniques.
