About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical expertise and support for all hardware and software within the business, as well as managing the overall Windows and mobile device estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure EUC infrastructure and back-office services are available, secure, and up-to-date.
  • Handle diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation, and notifications for EUC-related issues.
  • Manage application packaging, OS and software deployment, and support technologies for remote workers and Unified Communication tools.
  • Evaluate new technologies to drive business growth and provide technical solutions.
  • Own and resolve EUC service problems, create procedural documentation, and share knowledge with colleagues to maintain skill levels.
  • Communicate relevant information to the line manager and team.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in troubleshooting hardware/software issues, using initiative, and meeting tight schedules. Key skills include:

  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks under pressure.
  • High self-motivation and exceptional customer service.
  • Analytical and methodical troubleshooting approach.
  • Effective teamwork and minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Knowledge

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified (preferred).
  • Prior experience as an EUC specialist.
  • Strong experience performing 3rd line level technical support of Windows 10/11 OS and related hardware, as well as mobile devices.
  • Subject matter expert with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and experience with operating system deployment, task sequences, Windows Deployment Services/PXE.
  • Broad experience packaging and patching enterprise software and use of tools such as PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit and PatchMyPC.
  • Adept at managing Microsoft Group Policy in a large business environment.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Defender for Endpoint security suite.
  • Good experience with other Microsoft patching and security technologies such as WSUS, LAPS, BitLocker, Defender ASR and Defender Application Control.
  • Good understanding of Application and Desktop Virtualisation infrastructure and technologies including Microsoft RDS/RemoteApp and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Solid working understanding of Intune and both MAM and MDM technologies for managing corporate Windows devices as well as BYO and Corporate-owned mobile devices.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills with a focus on automation and use of 3rd party APIs.
  • Experience with deployment and technical support of Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise suite incl. Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong skills with cloud-based end user compute support technologies such as TeamViewer Tensor, Absolute (Computrace), Google Zero Touch, Apple Business Manager and Adobe Creative Cloud.
