Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year

A dedicated Primary SEN Teacher is required to support students with various needs in Years 4-6 at our Hackney primary school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with sensory needs and special educational needs.

The role involves supporting a team of professionals, including two TAs and HLTAs, to provide assistance to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and those requiring support with sensory needs and challenging behaviour. Key responsibilities include:
  • Incorporating Zones of Regulation techniques to help students manage their emotions.
  • Liaising with professionals to conduct Annual Reviews and plan ongoing support.
  • Supporting long-term planning for the first two terms with a teacher buddy for guidance and collaboration.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with sensory needs.
  • Proven experience working with students with ASD, SpLD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage long-term planning and Annual Reviews for students with EHCPs.
