Job Title: Support Assistant Full Time Flexi

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Templewood Recruitment. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals in a supported living environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Manager, Team Leader, and Senior Staff in day-to-day operations of supported housing units
  • Maximise SU interests by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and implementing each SU's support plan
  • Safeguard the rights and dignity of each SU, fostering a positive environment and conducting daily assessments of their mental and physical state
  • Support SUs to build their confidence, self-esteem, and ability to manage their mental health symptoms
  • Deliver personal support to SUs, promoting their health, hygiene, and personal presentation
  • Support SUs with developing social skills, future independent living, and daily living skills
  • Support SUs with scheduling and attending appointments and day-time activities
  • Encourage and motivate SUs into employment, voluntary work, and/or education
  • Maintain the cleanliness, quality, security, and safety of each home and individual service
Generic Duties:
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information unless otherwise permitted by management
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, legislation, and GSCC Code of Conduct
  • Undergo training and professional development as directed by the company
  • Work in a manner that promotes teamwork and a collegial environment
  • Active and positive promotion of the company's image and brand
Qualifications and Skills:
  • QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care with a minimum of two years' experience of care-working within a supported living environment
  • Strong living skills that can be transferred to service users
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • Strong English spoken, listening, and written communication skills
  • Full driving licence desirable and use of own car to transport Service Users
