About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our dynamic team at PiLON, an award-winning, multi-trade construction business dedicated to enhancing living environments for our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor the progress of void refurbishments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Liaise with clients and report on work progress to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining open communication and transparency.
  • Supervise refurbishment works, ensuring teams are focused, engaged, and motivated to deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensure site safety by conducting regular inspections and enforcing safety guidelines and protocols, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and write site reports and other necessary documents, maintaining accurate records and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Maintain quality control checks, addressing any work issues that arise and implementing solutions to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience in refurbishing works within the social housing sector, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence, enabling efficient site visits and travel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to address complaints and challenges in a calm and professional manner.
  • A genuine passion for people and the ability to motivate teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Good knowledge of building methods and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • A customer-focused mindset, prioritizing client satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
  • Good communication and writing skills, enabling effective collaboration and documentation.
Qualifications and Certifications
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), demonstrating a commitment to site safety and well-being.
  • Asbestos Awareness Certificate, ensuring awareness and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • First Aid at Work, providing essential skills for responding to emergencies and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • CSCS card, verifying competence and adherence to industry standards.
  • Fire Marshal/Safety Certificate, highlighting a commitment to fire safety and risk management.
