About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team at Steer Automotive Group in Durham.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, delivering exceptional service both face-to-face, over the phone, and via email. You will ensure that each customer feels confident that their vehicle is in safe hands, and you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and professionally.
  • Manage the customer journey, including handling complaints and resolutions.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them as necessary.
  • Update customers regularly on the progress of their vehicle repairs.
  • Assist with inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy reception area.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and updating records.
  • Support insurers and customers by providing fast, efficient service.
  • Keep computer systems and portals updated.
About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer service role, with excellent communication skills, and a proactive, positive attitude.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and by email.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with administration and computer systems, such as MS Office.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the local area to assist with transport logistics.
