The role of Senior Category Specialist in the energy sector at Austin Fraser offers a unique opportunity to leverage your procurement expertise in engineering services and technical consulting. This 12-month fixed-term contract allows you to drive strategic sourcing and maximize business value for day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be part of the Procurement Solutions team, focusing on delivering best-value-for-money procurement strategies across various categories.
  • Your primary responsibility will be overall sourcing for specific tender strategies, including supplier invitation, selection, negotiation, and implementation of supplier contracts.
  • You will actively manage business stakeholders locally and internationally, collaborating closely with other Procurement functions: Business Solutions, Performance & Culture, and Digitalisation teams.

This is an exciting chance to work with a diverse team of professionals from 28 different nationalities, managing an annual spend of 1.5 billion euros. The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy industry and/or procurement, as well as strong skills in stakeholder management and negotiation.

We are looking for a self-driven individual who has some experience working in an international environment. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to driving business success through effective procurement practices.
