About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced teaching assistant to take on additional responsibilities and make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and school leadership to support teaching and learning across the school.
The school is a Special Academy for students with complex, low incidence special educational needs. They are a well-established and very experienced local provider of quality specialised education provision.
Responsibilities:
- To support teaching and learning across the school, delivering lessons and providing targeted support to students
- To contribute to the overall development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
- To take on additional responsibilities and make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students
Requirements:
- A passion for teaching outside of a mainstream environment and commitment to experiencing the unique opportunities of a special school
- A kind, caring, and compassionate nature used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- Experience working with pupils with ASD
- Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs
- Hold Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications
