Electrical Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Mane Contract Services for a 3-month project in the Teeside area.

Job Location: Whitby, UK

Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off

Work Schedule: 11.5hrs a day, 3 paid breaks, free lunch provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation and testing of Electrical, Instrumentation, Communications, Telecoms and F&G systems
  • Supervise the Electrical installation and testing works
  • Supervise the Instrumentation certification and installation works
  • Troubleshoot E&I systems and programs
  • Ensure ITP compliance and document compilation
  • Coordinate with other Building Services teams
  • Ensure safety and schedule compliance
  • Manage labor productivity against budgeted man-hours
  • Lead Chargehands and crews
  • Ensure materials and installation compliance to specifications
  • Conduct in-situ field inspections to ensure quality of works delivered
  • Review Method Statements and prepare FLRA's with crews
  • Perform system line checks, field instrument checks, and certification
  • Perform calibration, functional checks, loop checks, and respective testing
  • Perform system walk-downs, line checks, and punch-listing
  • Troubleshoot and clear punch items and closure
  • Coordinate with other project teams and trade members
  • Review and interpret drawings and shop drawings
  • Manage sub-contractors and monitor progress and reporting
  • Handle walk-downs, punch-listing, clearing, and closure
  • Interface and coordinate with Client/QP representatives

While working underground in the Cubby, you will receive an uplift of £4 an hour on your hours worked. This uplift is only paid when working down the shaft during the Cubby installation, then would be back to your normal rate working on other scopes site-wide.
