Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Compliance Engineer to join our Centre of Excellence for vehicle manufacturing. As a Materials Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with national, European, and international regulations related to substances and materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations such as POP, REACH, CLP, ELV, RRR, and more.
- Materials Testing: Test materials, parts, and vehicles for emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to control vehicle interior air quality.
- Compliance Reporting: Present vehicle compliance status reports to senior management, aligning with vehicle development milestones.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally across R&D, Manufacturing, After-sales, and more, supporting Parts Design, Vehicle Development, and Materials Testing/Validation.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of International Material Data System (IMDS) and iPoint Software, with extensive industry experience.
- Education: Degree in chemistry/materials science or equivalent.
- Skills: Proven experience in compliance or regulatory activities, preferably related to substances and materials, with ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of compliance and sustainability within the automotive industry. The successful Materials Compliance Engineer will contribute significantly to the company's commitment to designing and developing vehicles that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental care.
Location:This position is based in a vibrant workplace environment with the opportunity for occasional international travel. This role requires being on site at least 3 days a week and can be as many as 5 days a week depending on business needs.
