Job Title: Materials Compliance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Compliance Engineer to join our team in Cranfield. As a key member of our Centre of Excellence for vehicle manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national, European, and international regulations related to substances and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with regulations such as POP, REACH, CLP, ELV, RRR, and more.
  2. Work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, After-sales, and more to support Parts Design, Vehicle Development, and Materials Testing/Validation.
  3. Monitor and control compliance with regulations, testing materials, parts, and vehicles for emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to control vehicle interior air quality.
  4. Present vehicle compliance status reports to senior management, aligning with vehicle development milestones.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of International Material Data System (IMDS) and iPoint Software.
  2. Degree in chemistry/materials science or equivalent, with extensive industry experience.
  3. Proven experience in compliance or regulatory activities, preferably related to substances and materials.
  4. Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects, with a proactive and energetic personality.
