Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Lepton Heights, a new care home set to open in the near future.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursing and care colleagues, driving quality, and maintaining high standards of care on your unit.
Responsibilities- Lead your units care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical, and emotional needs of the people we support
- Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement
- Oversee and manage all your units clinical elements and risks
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately
- Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review, and update of their care profiles
- The supervision and management of your units ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care and excellent clinical and communication skills.
You should also be able to work confidently on your own initiative and have a good standard of digital skills.
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse who wants to progress into management.
