We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Support Worker to join our Service in Bexhill, East Sussex. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the people we support live a comfortable, dignified, liberated, and happy life.
You will be responsible for providing an outstanding level of support that enables individuals to live independently. This includes budget management, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities are essential for this role. You will work closely with individuals to promote positive relationships, understanding, and inclusion within their local community.
In addition to supporting individuals with daily tasks, you may also be required to assist with personal care, including prompting medication and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
The ideal candidate will possess a caring and patient personality, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
Mencap offers a competitive salary range of £19,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 24 days annual leave, pension scheme, and ongoing training opportunities.
