Service Engineer - Mechanically Biased

Catalyst Consultants is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer (Mechanically Biased) to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-end machines, playing a critical role in their installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites.

We are looking for a methodical and experienced engineer with a background in service engineering or maintenance engineering, who is eager to transition into a customer-facing service role. You will need to be flexible with travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation & Commissioning: Set up and integrate high-end industrial machinery at customer sites.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and ensure smooth operation of machines.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and service machines.
  • Customer Training & Support: Provide hands-on training and support to customers on equipment use.
  • Parts Management: Order and fit necessary components for ongoing machine upkeep.
  • Travel: Regular travel to customer sites across the UK, with the flexibility for occasional overnight stays.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Service or Maintenance Engineer, ideally within the industrial machinery sector.
  • A calm, professional approach to customer interactions with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and stay overnight as required.
  • Strong fault-finding, mechanical integration, and repair skills.
