Empowering Learning: Supporting Students with Special Needs

We are working with schools in Surrey and South West London to find dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs (SEND).

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with SEN teachers to support students with complex needs, including those with autism, cerebral palsy, and degenerative illnesses. Your duties may include:

  • Assisting with pupils' physical needs, including hygiene and feeding
  • Helping with pupils' school work under the supervision of an SEN teacher
  • Supporting pupils to increase their confidence, self-esteem, and independence
  • Working with other professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists
